NADAWM Conference 2017

Representatives from all over the UK met together for 48 hours at Swanwick for the annual NADAWM Conference which this year was entitled ‘Come and See’.

Highlights included sessions by the conference Chaplain, Ven Jennifer McKenzie, Archdeacon of Wigan and West Lancashire (below);  an animated bible study led by Revd Ally Barrett, painter of the picture above, and Director of Pastoral Studies at Westcott;  Nicky McGinty from 3D Coaching, who helped us both to See Differently and Enable Others to See Differently; Claire Whitmore who spoke about her priorities as the National Young Vocations Adviser, and Christina Rees, CBE, who told us about the Li Tim-Oi Foundation and ‘The Sisters of Li Tim-Oi’.

In between sessions we worshipped well, and discussed all manner of business   Derby Cathedral Bookshop brought along a wide selection of titles, Hem of the Garment offered a tempting range of made to measure clerical clothing, friendships were forged or renewed and information exchanged.

Next year, the Annual Conference will be held on 15th to 16th May 2018 at Woodbrooke Quaker Study Centre in Birmingham.    Watch this space for further details.
